star wars: death Star?
can anyone tell me the full story of what happens in the book star wars death star?
i need to know for tomarrow
Death Star was an OK book. It’s been a while since I read it but I’ll try to give the high points.
It basically deals with the construction of the thing in orbit around the prison planet Desprae. It also follows the stories of several different people and how they came to be aboard the DS. One is a Bar owner from Coruscant who saw here place there get destroyed by fire and then was kindly offered a space in the entertainment section of the DS. Another is a commander of one of the superlaser firing teams. Still another is a prisoner from Desprae who managed to stow away on one of the shuttles that come and go between the planet and the DS. We get their stories that led to them being there on the DS as a under riding story from the major story of the various Rebel attempts to sabotage the construction of the DS … in one such display they blow up a Star Destroyer that is in for a supply run. We get to know a lot more about the relationship between Vader and Tarkin … they really don’t like or trust each other but they have a mutual respect for each other so in the end they learn from each other.
We also learn that the superlaser on DS I was actually fired 4 times not the two that was thought to be the norm. They fired on the prison planet, Desprae, 3 times to calibrate the weapon. The third shot was a full power dead on shot that blew the planet to bits. It would have killed a lot of people also except that they were all killed with the first test shot.
In the end a decent book but no where near being a “must read”.
