Wood Wall Paneling

Wood paneling has different types. One type is wall paneling that functions like a real wall inside a house.

Wood paneling is one way to give your home or office a new look. There are many types of wood paneling. They range from wall paneling, bamboo paneling, stone paneling and many more. Wall paneling may be the simplest but one of the most versatile.

Wall paneling is very functional at homes or in the offices. It functions like a real wall to divide or cover up an area. For some, it is very beneficial when looking for privacy. For example, wall paneling may be used in a kitchen, such that people on the living room will not see what’s going on in the kitchen.

In museums or exhibits, wall paneling breaks up spaces into partitions. In offices, these wall panelings can divide spaces into cubicles to give employees their own private areas while working.

At home, it can serve similar purposes. Or at most, it can be an added décor. It can be used to hang pictures or medals of achievement of the family members.

Some wall panels are temporary and can be moved or rearranged. Others are fixed permanently. These can be made from various materials like plastic or metal, but the most commonly used is wood.
  
The decorative wall panels are used to cover an existing wall, disguise not so smooth surfaces or decorate modern patterns to the interior design of the room. These panels are available in a variety of textures, finishes and wood grains.

There are also substrates available for wall paneling. Its substrates include plywood, hardboard, and engine wood and medium density fiberboard. They can be installed everywhere even in the basement or below ground level. Decorative wall panels allow consumer to have their known look, color, design and finish.

Decorative wall panels can be beadboard panels, lionite tileboard, wood grain finishes panels, decorative finish or wainscot. Decorative panels have variety of patterns in natural wood characteristic. They an also be used as accent walls. Decorative wall panels add richness and texture to the rooms.
 
The beadboard paneling is the most popular decorative wall paneling. This is often installed as a decorative wainscoting that adds texture and contrast especially in the living area.
 
When beadboard are in natural wood hues, they add rustic appearance. They elicit an informally relaxed atmosphere. They also have the craftsmanship of the contemporary building materials. They have varied informality level depending on the woods of your choice.
 
Beadboard panels can also be painted instead of installed. Painting is in fact a cheaper alternative. You can opt for lower grade woods and just paint out the imperfections. 
 
The lionite tileboards are subject to give high moisture and humidity. These are locally found on kitchens, play rooms, bathrooms and laundry rooms. They can also be best in basements and below the ground levels. This panel is water resistant. It can be a substitute to the expensive ceramic tiles. It is easy to clean with non-abrasive cleaners and water.
 
Wainscot is custom made paneling. It is easy to install and very durable. They are traditionally milled and can be painted to your whim.
