Kids Are Subject To Logos Too

Many companies will look into their logo design and change it to suit their audience, is this any different for kids. This is true of many kids products but the real question that needs to be asked is, are they doing it to make the logo design easier for children or because they know they will get sales as children will recognise the brand.

So many companies adopt this method of havign a simple logo but is there for brand recognition or anything else. Why is this always a bad hing, after all these products are not bad for kids, they help them to learn about all kinds of things.

Lego has to be one of the most famous brands in the world when it comes to children and this isn’t even including all of the adults that buy their products. The logo is so simple , white text with a red background, simple yet very effective. Lego is something that is almost recognised by everyone in the world,., is this what has made them so popular.

Play-Doh

Believe it or not play-Doh was actually wallpaper remover in the early days and it was not until the inventor’s son realised that children were actually using the play-Doh in nurseries to create Christmas decorations that the brand totally changed its direction. Now they sell over 95 million cans of the stuff a year and the logo, well have a guess; yes its white text over a red background. Seeing any similarities in these logos so far?

Fisher-Price

Another company with another custom logo design and once again you will see the logo with white text and a red background.

Is the reasoning behind these logos perhaps to do with kids being able to see these colours more?

As people get older the colours seem to change and you will not see anything like this when it comes to sports logos or other business ones.
